Relationships with schools

For For many years, BOURBON is the preferred partner of the National School of the Merchant Marine of Marseilles and, as such, fully supports the regatta organized by students at the school,Hydro's Cup, including the 17th edition took place on 14 and 15 March in Marseille. For 2 years the group has even become the main sponsor of the event.

The 2010 edition was marked by particularly favorable weather conditions and a high turnout, with nearly 40 ships involved with ENMM St. Malo, Nantes and Le Havre, three foreign teams from Bremen (Ger), Felsfeth (All) and Southampton (UK), and several boats from the circuit Longtze, launched by 13 leading schools ... not to mention the crews BOURBON strongly represented, with no less than 7 vessels involved, including 4 sailed by students of ENMM Marseilles.

Crews were well behaved, as the Godzilla, carrying employees of Bourbon, which will rank 3rd in the overall standings after 2 days of racing.

Over the years,Hydro's Cup, supported by an undeniable success, is getting a place among the major sailing events of the harbor of Marseilles, and BOURBON is more present than ever with students of ENMM to contribute to this success ...

In 2001, BOURBON has initiated the first partnership with maritime schools in France.

Since then, these partnerships are multiplying and demonstrate BOURBON’s historic commitment to learning and its wish to cooperate in the excellence of marine professional training abroad by developing its relations with schools around the world.
